I read that somewhere before and have tried that. Aside from the capacitor being bad what could cause this?

... and make sure you have at least 4-ohm loads on each channel.

I've installed literally dozens upon dozens of HUs.....never heard of one 'screeching' before.....

This sound is eminating from the deck itself and not the speakers?
