heres what i have for the bass in my car.

Lanzar vibe 1600 watt amp

2 x 400 Watts RMS at 4 Ohms

2 x 800 Watts Max at 4 Ohms

1 x 1600 Watts Max at 4 Ohms Bridged

2 x 650 Watts at 2 Ohms

Electronic Crossover Network

Bass Boost Circuit

Bridgeable at 4 Ohms

2 Ohms Stereo Stable

Tri-Mode Capable

Gold RCA Inputs

Line Outs For Left & Right Channels.

Power & Protection LED Indicators

Advanced Protection Circuitry

Soft Turn On/Off

Remote Control Bass Booster

I know i will not get full effencicy from this amp but how how many watts do you think it will actually put out? I am thinking to run it at 4 ohms briged because i have 2 of these:

Bazooka 12" dual voice coil

RSW1224DVC
Power Handling	350w - 400w max power wired in parallel
Power Handling with Liquid Cooling	500w max power wired in parallel
Impedance	Dual 4 Ohm
Sensitivity	88
Recommended Power	50w - 225w (RMS) per coil

My question is should i run it parallel and bridge my amp? or should i run the 2 seperate channels. It says max 1600 watts for the amp at 4 ohm bridged but the subs say Max 500 watts each? I want to run in parallel but do you think it would blow the subs? I know the amp wont reach that power but i dont want to damage anything.. Thanks

While I'm not a fan of running separite channels into a dual voice coil woofer , however, with this combination you don't seem to have a choice. with dual 4 ohm coils you either have a choice of 2 ohms ( parallel ) or 8 ohms ( series ) neither would work well if your amp was bridged. Set your amp to mono and run it two chan., one to each coil.

do you have 1 or 2 subs and the sub/s dual 4 ohm or dual 2 ohm if you have to right impedance i would run it 4 ohms mono

SOrry. Yes i have 2 subs dual 4 ohm (says in the specs).. I am thinkin option 2 here but would it be too much power?

Diagram 2 is the correct one to use...and that amp will not overpower those subs. Don't go by "max" ratings but by RMS ratings, and with amps especially (depending on the brand) they tend to be on the high side, too. I would believe that Lanzar amp will put out no more than 700 - 800 watts into a 4 ohm bridged load, so this marriage should be fine. With this setup, you are getting full efficiency out of the amp. Keep the bass boost off and be precise in setting the amp gain.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
