Next wedneday im getting my car metered. I dont know what meter it is, all i know is that it wont pcik up anything under 130. I want the perfect song so I can get the highest possible DB reading. What do you guys usually use when competing in SPL contests?? I was thinking of using "Get Some Crunk In Your System" by Trillville "Bia Bia" by Lil Jon or some sort of bass track, but there are soooo many bass songs out there I dont know which one is the "best".
I have two orion C12s running off a JBL 600.1 in teh trunk a 88 Crown Vic.

Silly rabbit, songs are for sillys. Actually don't get metered with a song, always use test tones. Best are recorded at 0dB.

I would suggest using the NCH Tone Generator and tell it to play the frequency  your system is tuned to, and making a CD of that.

Good Luck .

Hold up, why would you not test with an actual song, your not listening to test tones as you drive around all day, "If you are come see me and I will get you help for that" really get a bass Cd and let the meter go for an hour or 2 to record your peak

Now if your competing then the whole test tone crap works great, but if not just use a CD
