I need a recommendation for the best amplifier to pump 4 8inch jbl p-800 woofers 5ohm, 250rms.

Also to add some spice, I would also like and amplifier with the same company for a pair of IDMAX v3 12's.

I would prefer the 8's be run off 1 amp if possible 2x250 rms into a near 2 ohm load.

Requirements = Good Price, Good Quality, Reliability, Good SQ.

Hmm..

That'd be kinda silly.. usually, with few exceptions, mixing subwoofer sizes is kinda pointless.  The way to mix those is to use 8" woofers up front.. say a pair in kickpanels getting say ... 200hz and down to the woofer x-over point... and a 15" in the trunk.. hitting everything under.. say ... under 60hz..

When you add different subs like that.. they play the same notes .. especially in the case of such different sized woofers... rather differently.  8" woofers are really snappy.. very warm .. lotsa midbass.  12" woofers drop much deeper and really have a different sound to them.

If you put those in the same trunk, you get some wierd, (and prolly vicious) cancellation effects, as well as a general muddying up of your response.

But putting all those in your trunk to "add some spice" would be silly, counter-productive, and prolly not be as loud (or much louder) as either setup by themselves.  Try the pair of 12's.   8's aren't so much a SUBwoofer....

1 amp for the 8's 1 for the 12's not 1 for all. Just want the amps to be from the same company.

and I'm either goin 2 8's in each front door, or all 4 in the rear deck and 12's in the trunk.
