i have a 1998 Camry CE (no bypasss module neede for mine but yours does).
The t harness will make your job very easy with the remote start.
Lay your harness and get all the wires you need from the harness. Find mounting locatin for alarm. Tape the wires togethere (the ones that are going to the same place). DO NOT USE T-taps, solder the wires (or if not as a las t resort use the method descibed in the bulldog install manual).
There isn't anything to fear ... If you alarm is a factory alarm then you will use the bulldog alarm to disarm it (check yout manual alarm)....Couple of pointers: Use a multimeter NOT A TEST LIGHT. Whenever you see a yellow harness DO NOT MESS WITH IT this is ABS (airbag....using a test light on any wire could A damage the ECU or B unleash the airbag on your candy ***
)...Your meter should be set to 20V DC if it is not autoranging (most of the entry level ones are not like mine)...Test all wires before making a connection at least twice...parking lights are green+ bottom of fuse box on the right or green- on the steering colum (Check to see if your alarm needs + or -)....when testing the lights you should get 12V+ or - when you hit the light switch and 0 when they are off. To test strip the wire a bit with a razor blade and put the red lead on it and attach the black to ground (exposed metal on your car)....I see that your alarm has + parking light ouput so connect it to the green+ wire I mentioned above. I know Bulldog sends a test light with the alarm....again try to stay away from it....To pass wires from firewall you can drill a hole (I did in my car) below the steering colum above the gas pedals (if you lok in the engine bay where the steering colum comes in there is a rivet or nail looking piece of metal sticking out... pull the carpet back and you will see and indetation in the metal coresponding with the rivet location....check to make sure nothing is in the way (if the car is stock there should not be....that is how mine was)....to pass the wire through the hole use hook up (solid wire) to pass it and tape your siren wire to it and pull it through.....use a gromet on the hole so the cable does not get cut and seal it with weahterproof silicon from home depot....run the ground for the sire and connect in the egine bay (scrape paint to get to bear metal...)...this is all the comes to mind now (I just installed my Galaxy alarm a few days ago along with actuators...my alarm had a defective light ouput so I'm working that out by using a relay ...just defective product nothing wrong with my car so no biggie)....Let me know or PM me if you have any questions I now a lot about taking a camry apart (door panels, amp install, installed new head unit, alarm, actuators, etc.)
