I just got my 791vx installed yesterday and love it. Remote start is awesome, nice coming out to a cool airconditioned car when temps are nearing triple digits.
Anyways, with my stock alarm (which was horrible, thus it got replaced) it had one feature I liked. It wouldn't arm until all doors and the trunk were closed. So if I had to get something out of my trunk, I could pop the trunk from the inside, hit lock, close the drivers side door, get what I needed from the trunk, and once I shut the trunk, it would arm. Same for either doors, didn't have to be the trunk. I can't seem to get that with the Viper. I tried hitting arm with the drivers door open, the doors locked and it chirped a few times, and the remote showed a door was open. Then when I shut the door, the alarm went off, probably the shock sensor was triggered from shutting the door. Is there a way to do what the stock alarm did? Thanks

I own that alarm as well. What i would try doing is go into the install book that it came with and activate the passive alarming. That should help.
