I have a CDA-9811 Alpine stereo that is Ai-Net compatible, I bought the KCA-121B Aux Adapter from Crutchfield so that I can hook up my DVD player to my sound system, but I cannot control the volume on my stereo. In other words, there is sound coming into my HU but I cannot control it from my HU, I have to adjust it on the DVD player and the sound quality is not that great. I have set the Alpine to Aux and I've played around with the different settigs on there, but doesn't make a difference, would you guys think the problem is with my HU or with the adapter itself? Any help you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated, thanks alot! Oh and by the way, after I change back to regular AM/FM you hear a lot of static and it won't go away until I disconnect the RCA's from the KCA-121B. Thanks Again!

I've tried it on the on/off position and it doesn't make much of a difference, I still can't control the volume on my HU.

Is your AI net switch under the radio in the "norm" position?

That should be the answer, the AI net port thinks there's a processer hooked up to the deck. Switch to norm.
