Does anyone know were i can find out how to remove the head unit for a 1989 Plymouth Acclaim. I checked google but it seems the car isnt that common for car stereo installation. I prefer pictures or pdf installation files. Thx alot

All late 80s early 90s chrysler products come apart basically the same. You will see a number of very visable phillips screws around the plastic bezel that surrounds the radio and usually the climate controls. remove these and the bezel can be pryed off. The radio will be held in with 10mm bolts (2) Get any of the din and 1/2 universal chrysler kits and you're done.

It's very simple, all you really need to do is pry off the plastic piece that looks like a pot, and use a socket wrench to get the old stereo out. I would suggest that you go to Wal-Mart, and get the Sosche Head Unit Installation kit, and the Sosche wiring adapter for the Acclaim. It's pretty straight-forward from there.

BTW, do you have a V6 or L4?
