Year:2002
Make:Mitsubishi
Model: Lancer
I just bought the ALPINE CDA-9855 head unit and I had a question on the wireing set up. I was wondering if there is a direct wireing harness that will go from the standard factory plug to the alpine plug. Because the alpine plug only has one end that fits into the head unit and then the other end has about 15 cables...if not, I do not know what cable is what for my vehicle do you know if there is anyway for me to know what wire goes were...thanks :)

yea you should be able to buy a 'wiring harness' from most car audio outlets/ retailers. lancer stuff isn't regularly kept but just tell them the model and year of your lancer and they should be able to order in a harness. By the way like the head-unit but i have heard they have problems with the touch scan thing.

Well I got the deck working, but I have a new problem...the tuner is just fine I am receiving radio through my speakers, however when I try to put in both a normal store bought CD and/or a MP3 home made CD, neither will emit sound from the speakers. The deck is reading them, it knows exactly how many tracks are on the cd/mp3, but the music does not come out of any of the four speakers....could there be a problem with my install or a config. with the deck that I am missing...thanks.

make sure you hooked up the right wire to the power ant. If you dont on an Aiwa it will play cds but no sound.

No, but there is just some strange problems....like we got the mp3 to play, but sometimes the head unit will not except the disk and if it does there is a high chance it will say "error." Also if it does except the disk, you almost can never get it out unless you shut off the car and hit the eject button (then the disk will come out). I would suspect that is a problem with the deck and not a wire issue.
