My Alpine IVAD300 is only 4 months old and I was on my way out of town and the touch screen stopped working all of a sudden. The D300 does not come with a remote so I was dead in the water. I got to an Alpine dealer in the other city and they got me a remote for another deck that actually did work so I thought I was ok for the time being. Next day, the remote stopped working along with the touch screen. Did the reset on the front again which wiped out all my settings of course and the remote started working again, but not the screen. So is this a brain or a screen issue? Its under warranty and I plan on getting it sent in, but am really pissed because I am in the show car season and have shows over the next 2 months almost every weekend. So if anyone has heard or seen this problem let me know which unit is faulty. If anyone knows where to get replacement pieces besides ebay let me know please. I know there are dealers on here that might have items laying around. thanks for the help in advance.

Check if there is a lose wire or maybe the fuse isnt big enough (need at least 10-15 amp fuse).

If the screen is only 4 months old, bring it back to the place you got it from and tell them to replace the unit or get them to put it on a bench to see what's the problem. Don't ask them to send it in and make you wait on a repair if you deal with the store regularly, this shouldn't be a problem.
