93 vw corrado window module

I'm having a little trouble getting a DEI 529T window module to function correctly in my 93 Volkswagen Corrado with a Viper 600ESP alarm.  I'm trying to get it to close the windows when I arm the system.  I should've known I'd be in trouble when the instructions specifically mentioned the Corrado as a vehicle with an "unusual" control system.  Anyway, I couldn't really find a diagram in the instructions that matched my vehicle, or at least the ones I tried didn't work.  My car has the auto down feature, where if you press the down switch on the window, the window rolls all the way down automatically.  So, according to the instructions, I'm supposed to make my connections between the motor and the factory window control unit that controls the automatic roll down, not at the switch.  I found the motor in the door and did that, but nothing happened when I tested it.  The window module does make one click when I arm the system though, so I think it's working or at least trying to.  I have the input triggers connected to the orange (-) ground when armed wire.  I also tried using the door lock output as the trigger, but that didn't work either.  

I did find that giving a + signal to the door lock wire will close both windows and sunroof.  This is what happens when you put the key in the door, turn it and hold.   I tried connecting the "motor side" wires of the module to the door lock wire, like someone suggested in an archived message I found, but that didn't seem to work.  I could probably use an auxiliary channel and program it for a 30 second timed output, connect it to the lock wire and avoid using the window module all together.  However, I'd rather use the auxiliary channel for something else and use the window module instead. 

If anyone knows the trick to getting a window module to work with a VW window/locking system (Corrado, Golf III, Passat) from the mid 90's, or if I'm doing something blatantly wrong, I'd appreciate any help.  Also, let me know if you need any additional info.

I'm sure that you just need to give the Corrado an extended pulse on the lock wire and it will close the windows and roof. Does your alarm not have an option of "total closure" whereby you can set the lock pulse to 30 seconds and do away with any interfaces.
