Just set the gain settings to the voltage that the HU puts out. As far as wiring goes, it will depend on the sub. Is it SVC or DVC? at what ohms?

That still seams like a lot of power for one sub. What sub are you using?

What you are doing is strapping amplifiers. If they are designed to be strapped, most of these amps will use a master and slave configuration. Meaning one amps controls for gain, crossover etc. will control the second amp. There must be a wired connection between the two amplifiers however for this to happen, it is usually a phone jack type of cable that is used for it. Do your amps have this connection?
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

yes, the actual system is called dual mono drive. and i'm looking to power a sub which i wish not to state that can take around 5,000 rms but i need to stick to a budget and buying two amps capable of such wattage would mean around £2000 worth of amp. these amps are fairly cheap so i thought i'd give them a shot. any ideas on these amps. kenwood kac-9152d strapped.

If the sub is a DVC type sub, then just attach each amp to a VC.

forget my last post,

I did a little bit of research, and I would suggest that you contact a Kenwood specialist.

This Dual Mono drive is a bit wore complex than I thought. Good Luck.
