One of my return customers just bought an 03 CL 500 surprisingly it didnt come with XM radio. So he bought a roady 2 and told me to install it and he didnt wanna see it. He suggested the top of the windshield. Now i searched through and didnt find any tips on XM radio installs on these. Are there any tips for hardwiring these? Any thing i should look out for? Any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated.

This is going to be a heck of a lot more work then what it's worth, If your meaning of " hard wire " is not using the FM mod. The factory HU is fiber optic connected to an amp/tuner in the trunk. I don't know of any way to break into it with an aux input except for JL's "clean Sweep" and they are $400. Tell him to go to the dealer.

If you are looking for an aux input, SoundGate makes fiber optic Aux in adaptors for that vehicle. If he has a CD changer, he would have to lose that though.
