I have a set of Infinity Kappa Perfect 12VQ subs I was testing out the inserts and one if them got stuck I got it out of the other sub just fine but this one is really stuck hard (if you dont know what the insert is https://images.cardomain.net/products/inf/INFPERFECT12VQ_2.jpg) I hard tried tapping it to knock it loose and wd-40 but it still wont come out so short of exchanging it under warranty (if they will) I hope someone here knows something or has some ideas

Try putting the sub in the freezer for an hour.  When cold the material should shrink, then you could twist it out.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Thanks stevdart for the tip I got it removed before I got a chance to try it though. I got it unstuck with a slidehammer http://www.cumminstools.com/browse.cfm/4,380.htm worked good with minimal damage elbee12 just be carefull inserting the insert and you shouldn't have to try too hard getting it out just make sure it goes in perfectly straight thats why mine was stuck because I inserted it at a angle otherwise the removal hook and some strenght should work fine. I didn't custom make the box I got it from Circuit City Q-Logic brand 1.25 per side they sound great in there but mine are 12's so you probably need a smaller box

stevdart is the Jeffery Dahmer of car stereo equipment, all of his victims are in the freezer, except I don't think stevdart eats them.

I do it like this:  Freeze first, and if that don't work, torch it.  Then if that don't work, get out the sledgehammer.

I think Mr. Dahmer did it in reverse:  sledgehammer, torch, and then freeze the leftovers...;)

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
