I have a 98 Acura TL 3.2 with factory alarm which doesn't do anything when the doors are locked by remote except for locking the doors. I want to add a horn beep and light flash for when the lock button is pressed. Here is the diagram I came up with, but I have a few questions (included in the diagram). Thanks for any help you can give me.

Thanks!!

you can tap into the 12v at your ignition since this relay will most likely be under your steering column somewhere

you can ground the relay by using a ring terminal and screwing into metal in the kick panel

parking lights diode #1

horn diode #2

parking lights diode #1

horn diode #2

what do u mean in regards to the diode? is it to be pointed in a specific direction for the current to run/stop?
