i have been searchin for a 3 way component set,  and i have found one that has caught my attention.  It is the JL Audio XR653-CS .  it is a little more than i have been wanting to spend, but i think it may be worth it. i have noticed that many of the 3 ways have a 4inch mid,  how is the sound out put on a 4inch, sound a little small.

Anyone know much about the jl audio components?

would u like your chicken original or extra crispy?

I have never been a fan of jl comps and coax's but if it sonds good to you so be it. Most three way systems are comprised of a tweeter and a 4-5.25' mid and 7-8" mid woofer. The reason for the smaller mid is it almost wasteful to use a larger driver like a 6.5" that is capable of playing some of the frequecies that the mid woofer will play.

i also came across a set of 3 way image dynamic components  (chameleon series)  i also have read some good reviews about the speakers.  u can also get them in a 2 ohm or 4ohm speaker,  they take 150watt rms.  sounds like a speaker worth lookin at.  i found a set for 320 with free shippping

I would consider the ID's before JL. I believe that is an older model but still a great sounding set.
