Two amps turning on at different times

Hi everyone,

I just finished installing a two amp (A/D/S & Alpine) system in my car and have sort of a problem.  There is about a 1 sec delay between the Alpine mono, sub amp turning on and the ADS unit.  This really bugs me because of the booming that goes on until the rest of the system catches up.  Is there away for me to add a turn on delay to the Alpine amp so that the two amps start up closer together?  Alternatively, I"m also running an electronic crossover (ADS 642csi) that feeds both amps.  Can I put a turn on delay on the crossover so that no signals are sent to the amps until they're both fully powered up?

Sorry, I should have been more clear.  The Alpine is a current model, and both amps do have a turn on delay.  The problem is that the turn on delay on the A/D/S amp is longer than on the Alpine so the bass starts playing about 1 sec before the rest of the music does.  It isn't a turn on/off thump problem per se, but rather, a sync-ing issue between the turn on delays of the two amps.  I'm trying to find a way to have both amps turn on and start playing at the same time as much as possible.

I thought that I might add some sort of delay to the active crossover so that it would not turn on until both amps are fully powered up.  I'm not sure if this would work, so I'm looking for any help or suggestions that might be out there.
