I have a Delphi Delco Monsoon AM/FM/CD Cassette radio Part # 10318440.  It fits a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire.  I received a Metra plug part # 71-2003-1 that fits it, it is listed as a 32 pin plug.  When I went to the Metra wedsite there is no listing for this part number, so I assume that the plug is a universal plug and I am not sure that this plug is wired correctly according to their wiring code for this radio.  The plug is in two parts one with 24 pins and the second has 8 pins, the 8 pin plug is supposed to be for a remote CD changer which I don't have as yet.  I also found a web site with the wiring diagram by pin number for this radio.  However my problem is I don't know how the pins are numbered.  Left to right facing the back of the radio or facing the wiring harness, top to bottom or right to left, or bottom to top.  Any help you could provide would be very much appreciated.  My only fear is seeing plums of smoke comming out of this radio.

If anyone can tell me how to trace the pins with a multimeter I have never done this but I know my way around a multimeter.  So if there is a way to trace it I am perfectly willing to give it a shot.

Thanks for any help you can provide Charles E.

P.S. I may be in the wrong forum I hope not!
