Hello: i was wondering if anybody out there has had the sony cdxr 3000 head unit and if so what kind of problems have you had with it, right now my sony hu sometimes the display will not be there but it will still play the radio and when i try to insert a disk it powers off completely, and if you push the release button and then slap it hard it works fine, also sometimes when you insert a disk, it will not read it, and just tries until i get an error code. damn thing is startin to piss me off, but i can't afford another deck just yet because i just bought this hunck of crap, checked all the wiring out and it all seems okay, also replaced the fuse from the rear of the chassis but still it has problems, anybody?

Any piece of gear that you have to slap hard to make work is broken.  Take it to a repair shop for an estimate.  If it's under warranty get it replaced.

The idea of slapping a Sony head unit does have its appeal to me though...
