Hello

I need the color code for the up and down wires going into the drivers window switch that controls both the drivers window and the pass window. I have a diagram from the Nissan Factory Service Manual but it isn't in laymans terms.

The car is a 1993 Nissan 300ZX automatic Twin Turbo

Thanks in advance

WoW---now that is inciteful and informative only I have done that and I'd rather ask BEFORE I short something out rather than after. Thanks for your "reply".

Sorry for getting testy but I can't understand what drives someone to post such a responce. A dvom is useful when you know what your looking for at what your looking at. I do not install alarms or car audio enough to have that level of understanding that I can blindly take a meter to a harness and recognize the readings although I did try. That is when I posted requesting help, I'm not interested in damaging the car when there are forums like this where people can ask questions and receive aid from those who know such as yourself.  That having been said---thank you for your help. I will check those wires and see if I can match them to the directions given with the 530T. It said something about 3 main types of window systems, one that rests on the +, one that rests on the - and lastly one that rests neutral. Again--thanks

Auex---here are some pictures of the wires...I found the colors specified in the link you provided however they are not all in the same harness, does that matter?

Here are the pictures:

Also, does the factory wire get severed with the ends attached to the module or does the module simply tap into the factory wire leaving it intact?

Severed with the ends attached. The diagram should say which wires go to the switch side of the severed wired and which ones go to the motor side.

Sorry, you can NOT post a reply.
