Ok guys, I bought these cheap subs from ebay a few years ago when I was around 15, never used them. My friend wants to buy them and I have a question; The subs/amp are made by Xtreme
The amplifier that i'm sellin is rated at 1600 watts.
2x80 RMS
4x400 Max
******************
The subs are are rated at 400 Watts of power, it doesnt say RMS or Max.
1.5 High Temp K.S. Voice Coil
My question is if I hook two of those subs up to the one amp, will it play properly? I don't want to sell this guy the two subs and the one amp, and they won't play because I dont want to do him dirty.
I have four of the subs and two of the amps, so are their any combinations in which this setup will work? THANKS IN ADVANCE
Subwoofer(s): Two(2) 15'' Kole Audio KMX-15's
Amplifier: One(1) Power Acoustik Digital Series 2400A

Speakers:Factory

How is a 2x80 amp rated at 1600w?  Sounds like a little hype to me.  2 subs, assuming 4 ohms each w/1 VC, will see 80w each stereo or mono maybe 300w each if wired parallel bridged assuming your amp doesn't cook at the equivilent of 1 ohm stereo.

I think he meant 2x800 RMS. Are they Orion Extreme subs and amp?
