btw:FIRST POST HERE Woot,Woot

Hi folks,

I'm looking for a cruise control for my 73 Chevy truck.

I've looked long and hard at the Audiovox CCS-100.

But I'd like one that has an electro-mechanical servo instead of vacumn.

Anybody know which one I may be looking for?

Thanks in advance.

Jim

The Audiovox 250-1316 and 250-1316G are Rostra electronic (non vacuum) cruise controls. Contact  SCS / Frigette and Rostra to see what they have for your vehicle.

Best route is ROSTRA
250-1223 Cruise Control ( Electronic )
250-3032 Handle ( cut off )
250-4160 Pulse Generator ( hooks to Speedo Cable )
Pretty basic install, with the exception of running wires from Pulse generator

I have installed Multiport injection on my truck so.... I have the 4000 ppm VSS signal so won't need the magnets.

RE: Audiovox CCS-100

Do all these have a vacumn operated throttle servo?

The Tuned Port Injection install wasn't too bad. . .just alot of wires and a little thinking to integrate it into the existing wiring so that it looked 'factory' when I got thru with it.

Cruise Control install looks like a 'piece of cake'.

I'd really like an electronic type servo because I have a mild cam and am concerned about the vacumn available to drive a vacumn servo.

Is a vacumn cannisterthe typical wayto remedy low vacumn?

if you use the 250-1316 you do not need any vacuum. It is all electronic. the vacuum cruises lose too much speed on hills
