Need advice on alarm.Price limit of around $120 give or take $30 bucks.
Want an alarm with keyless entry, starter kill, would like one with the lcd remote that displays what is being tampered with or a security system that i could get a lcd remote later down the road. or at least a two way remote
Will be installing myself so one that is convenient to install. Will hide brain and take extra effort on install.
Anybody got and model numbers in mind please say.
Going in a 92 convertible mustang that is being taken off to college, so just want that extra bit of protection.
thanks for the help, Anthony

AutoPage RS-855LCD for $150 (FM)
Auto Page RS-720LCD for $105 (AM)
AutoPage RF-520LCD for $90 (2-way/Security NO remote start)
Grab a microwave sensor to cover the droptop...

Yep very straightforward to do a full remote start/alarm on that car, u got 5 wire reverse locks but 2 relays takes care of that quickly...look up "reverse polarity" door locks

i am leaning toward the 520LCD because of price, does the AM get as good of range as fm or can i expect a 1/4 mile range with buildings all around, like at a college while i am in class for instance? Does the radar sensor do the same thing as a microwave sensor.
i want keyless entry, alarm, and remote trunk, will the 2 spdt relays and the 520lcd and convertible sensor be all i need to install(plus wiring)?

found out i need another relay for the trunk, but what type of relay for the trunk(do not know if trunk pop is negative or positive)? Does the 520 have an aux. for the microwave sensor?

Yo can check when ur out of range from the remote, it's not gonna be as far as FM but it's comparable enough to matter so to speak...even with an FM system, if ur not close enough to get to a thief before he yanks ur stereo, u ain't gonna save ur stereo...point is, if ur outta range, ur outta range....but yeah, the am range is good.
You need to check what kind of trunk circuit u have, most likely (+)..ur aux for trunk pop will be a (-) so yes u need a relay...
I believe u interface the microwave sensor with the shock sensor wiring, ask a pro about this, i'm sure someone here will know for sure...other than that and ur relays, u'll be fine, take ur time, give urself an entire weekend to complete the install, do it once, do it right.
