I am trying to connect an alarm and remote start unit to my truck. I can get the engine to crank remotely, however I cannot get it to start. I have followed the wiring diagrams on here and connected the ignition outputs as directed and still no good. I have checked all the wires going to the ignition to see which ones are energized when the key is turned on, then hooked them in so they would get power when the remote start activates, still no good. I am out of ideas, any thoughts would be appreciated. Also it is a black key truck so that is not the issue.

Thanks,

Is the truck's ignition key grey or black ? If it's gray then you have to use a Sentry bypass module . If it's black, then it's an ignition wire problem.

No it does not have a gray key, but rather a black one .

When I use the key to start the truck I hear a ticking from somewhere in the engine compartment and also a buzzing sound which I am asusming is the electric fuel pump. When I use the remote start, I do not get any of the sounds from the engine compartment. So I am assuming that I have missed a wire somewhere, but I cant find it.

You should have 2 IGN wire powered up as well as 2 ACC wires powered up. Here they are:

IGNITION|blue     (16 awg)   |+  |ignition harness

SECOND IGNITION|red or RED / wht      |+  |ignition harness

ACCESSORY|green & orange      |+  |ignition harness

SECOND ACCESSORY|blue & blk/wht *7   |+  |ignition harness

*7 These wires may not be necessary for remote start.

I am having an issue with my Omega Max remote start/car alarm. I really hope you guys can help.
I recently programmed the echo 2 transciever to the unit following the steps in the instruction manual. The Echo 2 did not work properly because there is something that plugs into the omega unit for the echo 2 to work correctly, which I did not have. I then reprogrammed the original transmitter back to the omega max and since then, my remote start does not work. I can activate the remote start via transciever, the engine will crank run for 3 seconds, then engine kills, and the omega will restsart the engine allowing this process to continue until I terminate the remote start via transceiver. why is it doing this ?? if you need more information please let me know
Thanks

DodgeCrazy..........

What is Year, Make & Model .....?
You need the ECHO-2 Antenna for the ECHO-2 Transmitter to work

Did you do anything with the wiring??
