if you want to know how to bypass just ask me i am a authorized pioneer dealer i have done a dozen with out any problems

I thought the D1 is Nav only and could not play DVD movies? At least according to spec sheet --

yes the D1 is only nav, but while you are driving, you cannot access the nav menus to change your destination. just solder R197 together ;) done!

Why don't you post here..if it is something software driven, it might be very good and helpful for a lot of folks who don't want to rip apart installs and go to town with soldering irons..
