I have a 4 channel amp that i want to connect (2) 4 ohm dual voice coil subs. the amp is stable at 2 ohms.

i am going to bridge the speakers to work with the 4 channel amp.

I was wondering what the ohms load will be on the amp???

What are the loads of each speaker and the total load on the amp??

You might want to check out the Subwoofer Wiring Configurations from the12volt.

But either way, what kind of amp is it? Is it mono, stereo, 4-channel?

The only way, I think, you can wire two 4 Ohm dvc subs is either 1 ohm or 4 ohms.

Any 4 ch amp I've every seen was only 4 ohm stable if you bridge it down to 2 channels. It's not a good idea to hook up 1 ch to each voice coil. It will work , but it's hard on the coils. your best bet would be to get single coil subs or a 1 ohm stable mono amp. that would match up better.

Most 4-channel amps that claim "2-ohm stable" means per channel. So the lowest resistance they can handle on two channels bridged together is 4-ohms. What is the make/model of the amp?
