whenever i turn my car stereo on it makes a loud high pitch noise through tthe speakers, the speakers are hooked up through an amp. wat shud i try first?
pioneer head unit, dual 6.5 door speakers, rear pioneer 6x9s, 2 aw1208t audiobahn subs 1500 watts RMS each, one virtual reality 400 watt amp, and one 3000 watt Boss mono channel class D amp

make sure your power wire and your signal wire(RCA's) are not passing thru the same place, example put your power wire on the left under the floor trims and the signal in the middle under your console and your mat.

or maybe your signal wire is cutted/grounded somewhere or it is badly connected to the ends.

check this. it is important the rca's and power are not close to each other.

Is the pitch a high pitched squeal at all volume levels or is it only when the vehicle is running and tracks up and down with the engine rpm?

Rob is also asking if the sound depends on the speed of the engine.  Does it make the sound if the engine is off?

ya its not the engine noise its like a high pitch squealing noise
