I'm in doubt when installing a basic alarm (no RS) on any vehicle that has an anti-theft system. If a vehicle uses a key with a chip, for example ford vehicles, are those vehicles requires to have a starter disable relay? Or can I skip that part since it already have the anti-theft system installed from factory?

I always wondered because recently I installed a basic alarm system on my ford expedition 01, but I skipped the starter disable part because I think it may not be neccesary. I want to thank in advanced for any information I could get.

You can try and fail but dont fail to try...
