Hello I am new here well I have been gosting here for a long time. I have a question that I have not been able to find while useing the search.

I have noticed that caps have different voltage and surge rateing now I kow the general rule 1fard. for every 1000wats rms. So is there any real difference in the rateing or is it just mumbo jumbo thanks.

(calm... deep breath...)
The voltage means NOTHING in a fixed voltage application like the car. If it is designed to work in the car, 16 volts is plenty, and anything over that will do nothing for the performance of the capacitor - if it does anything at all...
In your searching for caps, did you notice how amny people recommend against buying them in the first place? Please take that into consideration before you plunk down your hard earned green. Spend it on an alternator first.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Yes, but at the same time when I was looking for an atlenator I was not able to find one for under $700 so at the time I used 2 1 frad caps. But I no longer have the car some stupid guy cut me off at point blak range and my car was totalled, have to love Airzona drivers. caps -- posted image.
