buddy of mine had me "throw" in some gear in his jeap.  well after it was all done and said.. that combantion of the Audiobahn 122N (production box w/ 2 12's 800 RMS 1600 peak) hooked to a HiFonics Brutus...  wasnt pleased with the result.  sounded like.. well..the box and subs were built by a kindergarten class.... ive worked with audiobahn many times and even though you sighn your life away with the cost of the gear,,i expected better sound... and i know the Brutus is pushing enough meat to the box....   the box from factory is rated 4 ohm stereo.   and i got each sub wired to the brutus on there seperate channels...   but to come across some vital information..the Brutus is a monoblock amp with 2.. count em'  2 sets of + and - terminals for woofer hook ups.....  kinda confused  ... as of right now by the specs of the brutus   it shows that if i got each sub hooked up to each "channel" (not sure how to describe it) its at 2 ohms mono... exactly what the box is not... but if i "bridge" the amp itll drop down to 1 ohm mono and push approx 2000 to the box... thatll be too much...    so how to i make the amp see 4 ohm stereo?  rewire the factory box to 8 ohms (if i can .. not sure if they are DVC or SVC... unless i go series) and run it to the amp at 4 ohm mono and pray itll sound ok?   well anyone got any ideas clue hints or suggestions... please drop em'

thanks!!!!!

or if the kid just wasted a but ton load of money on something thats not really compatible

the amp is internally bridged and has 2 positives for ease of woofer installation. It will never see a stereo load only a 4 ohm mono load.

In my opinion would say the Audiobahns sounded exactly like they should have
