Hello everyone.  I have an 86' toyota Corolla GTS.   I converted my turnsignals to LEDs, but the problem is, the turn signals only work when the parking lights are on. If the parking lights are off, the won't work, but the rear incandescent lights work as they should.

It used to be an incandescent bulb with two filaments. It now uses 24 LEDs on each side and are ran in a series: one with 3 Leds, four with 4 Leds, and one with 5 leds.   There are 3 wires: 1 power and two grounds (one for parking light and the other for the blinker) I can't figure out what I need to do to make them work without needing to get power from the parking lights.

Any help would be very appreciated. thanks in advanced.

Can you provide a schematic for the way you have them wired to the car? With just your description, I got nothin'...
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

ok.

there are 3 wires: two grounds and one power. one ground is for the parking light, and the other ground is for the blinker.
3 LED series:  270 ohm resistor
4 LED series (same for the other three, 4 LED series):  160 ohm resistor

5 LED series: 51ohm resistor

here a picture of what the back looks like... hope it helps to clear some confusion. thanks again

don't mind the crappy desk...

The grounds of the LEDs on the right, were wired to the blinker ground, and the two grounds on the left were wired to the parking light although both sides of one turn signal show up illuminated, only the "outer" leds flash.
