Hey guys,

I really need some information about how to wire up my aftermarket clarion headunit to my stock speakers and my aftermarket amp and subs.

I think I can figure out the amp and subs, they are currently connected to the stock headunit (Mach 460 system) so i assume i already have all the harness that I need.

Is it all plug and play or do i need any specail harnesses?

Thanks,

Mike

Yes that is correct.

We just got the stock head unit out and need to know which wires are for what... I have a diagram and a list but a few things seem a little different.  and I am not sure what the 2 little silver clips are that go into the driver side of the stock hu.

Also how would i mount the brackets for the new headunit (a clarion DXZ925).

Thanks,

Mike

Here is a link to the wiring diagram for you car 1995-97 Ford Mustang Stereo Information  You might want to check out this site http://www.flemworld.com/95/mach.html#Schematics it has detailed stereo info that might help you out. As far as hooking up your new equipment like you said before its pretty much plug and play. Just be sure to run your power cables 7 on the opposite side as your speaker and rca cables to avoid any noise problems. And be sure to run the proper size Power and Ground Cable.

If you have a mach 460 stereo and plan on intergrating in with the rest you will need a different harness that is available through most harness manufactures.
