I have a 1998 Honda Civic EX with factory keyless entry. The remote has "lock" "unlock" "panic" and "option".
So, can the option be used to control anything or is it just there to make you wonder??? If it can be used is the voltage enought to trip a relay to say turn on neons? Also where is the wire I would need to tap into located and what color or colors os this mystery wire?
Thanks as always.

is it the original factory remote? could be a trunk release or a rs, but offered as a factory option.

Yes it is the original factroy remote. I have tried pressing it and nothing happens( trunk doesn't open, light do not turn on, ETC...). As far as the remote start, I forgot to mention that is a stick, so that couldn't be it. I have poured over the wiring diagrams in the manual I bought for it, and found nothing. I was just hoping that there was soe way to tap into it. Thanks for the reply.

I say you'd have to test your wires comming out of the factory module.
I wonder what the record is for multiple posting.
