xm radio noise

i have engine whine on xm sattellite radio....hum or whine and gets worse when accellerating...... please, no shots in the dark, anyone have experience with solving this, thanks

Shots in the dark? How about what you are using, what is the equipment. Does it have noise with out the xm, like with use of cd or radio? How about more info so there won't be shots in the dark!

Is it a wireless FM mod?

whoaaaaa....easy dwarren...here it goes...2004 f-350 crew cab... i have an eclipse avn 5495, kicker 5.25 components in front and factory speakers in rear pillars, kicker 3 channel amp running 4 kicker 8" subs in a sealed box behind seat and amp is also powering fronts, rears are off deck....have an ungo 2 way alarm..... originaly i had some static on fm stations and am stations so i went with xm radio so i could have crisp clear music and also be able to listen to sports talk and baseball games....although it works good i have engine whine as i described earlier..... it is not fm wireless mod. it is hooked up through the aux-vtr input to the eclipse ..... enough info..? help

And the noise is only on the XM?

not sure, i really dont listen to the regular radio because of the bad reception, but im pretty sure thats how it is...

Is it on the CD also? It makes a big differance on the solution.

just checked.....no, no noise on cd.....

OK I would look first at the RCA between the XM tuner and the aux in on your deck. Thinking you might have a ground loop. Try a ground loop isulator. Also check and see if the shielding on the RCA has been crimped or pinched any where.
