A buddy and I are looking to buy a single 15" sub to put in the back of a Jeep Cherokee. We're going to put it in a large ported enclosure, and feed it whatever it's RMS rating is.
I don't want to spend over $300 for the sub because this is purely for the fun of it. There's already two Type R 12's back there. But we thought it'd be fun to rip those out and stick a nice loud 15 in just to see how it sounds.
So, basically, I'm looking for a ~$300 15" that'll get damn loud. I don't want something that sounds like absolute garbage and makes me want to throw a knife through it; but SQ isn't the main goal for this one.

Why replace 2 12's with a single 15. are you looking to get more cargo space?

No, I simply want to see how it sounds. If I don't like it, I'll sell it. This is all just for fun.

the 2 12's are going to sound better than the 1 15 unless you got somthin really good, if you are seriouse about it get a 15w3 or somethin like that, even one of the new 13w3v2's are preaty good lookin and they dont sound bad either
