Toyota Celica problem

Hi All...

just purchased a Toyota Celica (2003 model) and fitted a 'snooper' speed camera to the 12v supply (from cigarette lighter).. problem is.. works fine until i switch the headlights on then the power goes off.... BUT i can use the cigarette adapter and it works fine.!!!

Anyone offer a solution please!!!

You say  you used from the cigarette lighter , but then  you say used the cigarette adapter  also,       Isnt that the same thing   , did you hard wire it behind the lighter ?   dont use the green or GREEN/ black  wire    which is illumination ,behind the lighter  .   i bet you tagged that instead, if you want to hard wire witout adapters , use the ORANGE / BLACK in the ign harness is ign

Your correct.. i did use the green wire... (later found out my mistake!!!) re-wired using the grey wire and everything works fine now..,
