I am a beginer on this, and I need to simply build one of these:
Pulsed to Steady Output - Last Post -- posted image.
And here are my questions:
1. Am I correct in thinking that aslong as it keeps receiving a pulsed signal, it will output a steady signal? And when it stops recieving a pulsed input, it will stop emiting a steady output?
2. I am not sure exactly which components to use. If anyone could simply link me to radioshack for to the Capacitor, Resistor, and Diode I will be greatly apreciative.
Thank you!

You are correct for the first question and the value of the capacitor makes the differance in how long it stays on after the last pulse.

Radio Shack links:

ResistorDiodes, Relay, and  Capacitor.

I didnt see the exact value cap but the link is 20 differant values ask the sales person.

Hey look!! an RC circuit!

the relationship between the resistor and capacitor will determine how long the relay stays energized. I would breadboard the circuit to play with the values to determine what values to use.. you also have to look at how much power the relay coil uses. You could also use the RC circuit to drive a transistor to actuate the relay.

Watch how long it takes the circuit to deenergize the relay..
