Where is the best place to mount this sensor.Clifford suggest the steering column,screwed to the firewall,kick panel,or tunk wall??

i would ,and always, use the fattest wire bundle you can find under your dash and zip tie it to it.

I like the steering column,Ilike very sensitive.

I have mine screwed into the floor pan underneath the center console - pretty much in the middle of the vehicle.

Piezo sensor it doesnt matter where you mount it. its not a schock sensor it uses sound waves and air pressure to detect impacts. I have found that in the bottom corners of windows is a great place to start with. this will detect ANY metal to metal or metal to glass impacts. you can even install one on each door window and with a ball point pen tap the glass and set the senor off. However these are impact sensors so shaking the vehicle will not set these off.

You mean by mounting it in the door say,down in the bottom by screwing or zip ties??

Depending on the sensor you can use double sided tape just make sure not to block the air hole
