I had to remove the battery from my car the other day in order to jumpstart my boat.... Anyway... after i reinstalled the battery my alarm and remote start would not work. I checked the fuse on the system to see if i may have blown it while disconnecting or reconnecting the battery. It was good. So, that isnt it. I tried pressing the lock button many times to sync the codehopper feature... that didnt work. I also attempted to reprogram my remotes to the unit. But, i couldnt get that to work either. Just to verify that the unit was getting power I entered the settings menu by holding the Valet switch for 3 seconds. It did enter the setting menu. So, i am completely stumped. The dealer who installed it is about 7 hrs away (i am at college) and i would like to try to get it fixed before i get back there. I have no idea what could have happened... or if there could be another fuse that blew that would only affect the remotes?? Or if the Brain is somehow blown?? I have no Idea. I was thinking that i might be able to fix it by resetting the factory defaults or something, but i dont even know if i can do that since the remotes will not work. Thanks for any help.

Kgerry... It worked... Thanks a bunch for the tip. e

Will this happenany time the battery is unpluged? I hope not... because it was a PITA to disconnect the antenna. But, I am so relieved that it works again. I was starting to think I wasted $500 on the whole setup. Thanks again... this forum is great.

it happens, not often, but it happens.... being that the antenna is an active device, the only way to do a hard reset is to physically unplug it.... i always unplug it right at the antenna on the windshield, which is easy to get at......
