What is the easiest way to put an aftermarket head unit into a 2002 Grand Am with monsoon? Can the amp be used or does it have to be bypassed?

The monsoon system is speaker level into the amp. Just get the chime module and you are good to go. Peice of cake really.

i had the chime module hooked up to it and the radio was about half volume and everytime the radio station was changed it made a loud popping noise.  are the monsoon system speakers in that car 2 ohm or 4 ohm speakers?

monsoons are pre level...use the GMOS-04   or the amp bypass cable (cant think of the metra # off the top of my coconut, but you'll find it on the website)
