I have a 98 2500 ram diesel.  I had a stereo company put a stereo in my truck consisting of  an amp and four speakers.  As the guy went to put the deck back into it's place a fuse blew.  The 20a cig. lighter fuse is the one that blew.  I have no deck power, dome light, or cigarette lighter.  I tried putting in a new fuse but it just keeps on blowing.  I disconnected the cig. lighter and the fuse dosen't blow when I turn the key on.  However, everything still does not work.  WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON.  The stereo is not even hooked up to the harness, so it has to be something in the truck.  The guy at the shop says it is not his fault but everything worked before he started to work on it.  HELP.

Sounds like the constant wire is grounding out somewhere between the lighter and the fuse box. Make sure athat all wires have the insulation and is not grounding out to the frame anywhere. The inside of the factory stereo housing is all platic.... what did he ground it out to ??
