I will be running about 2300 watts and I would like to know where I can find a HO alternator for a 2004 Silverado HD with a 6.0L engine?  How amp rated alternator should I be looking for. FYI I will also be installing an Optima yello top.

Any help would be great.

There are several places online. You can do a search on Google and find some. For one, stay away from Alterstart.

If its a real lagitimate 2300 watts rms then you will be looking for a 225 amp alternator usually in the $600-$700 range for a quality alternator.

I have had great experience with www.mechman.com , www.meangreen.com , other people reccomend ireggi alternators that can be found on e-bay, www.ohiogen.com      Those are the top alternators, don't get succerd into a cheap wana be alternator.

I would agree with that, but it will also cost a pretty penny to get on for that size of a job.

Ive heard great things about Irragi alternators, I believe Dominik Irragi is on the sounddomain boards frequently, I think Irragi will custom build alts if their isnt one avalible for your specific vehicle or engine type.
