I got it hooked up yesterday and it works great.  I might eventually use a 12v source to trigger it instead of a switch.    It would sure be easier than reaching for the switch which is hidden.  I am thinking of the highbeam as the input.   I installed and HID lighting system so I don't have highbeams anyway.  I wouldn't even have to worry about the lights flashing everytime I start the truck.

Do you think I would need the Diode inline w/ the relay to keep 12v from feeding back into the highbeam circuit  seeing as there is NOTHING  hooked up to the hight beam wire?

thanks for all your input.
