Has anyone else had issues with these bloody remote starters holding the vehicle starter too long after its started? It seems all the ones that I have done and other installers at my work have done have the same problem. And no it's not a wrong tach signal, it doesn't matter whether you get it at the coil, injector, voltage sense, etc.. it just holds the starter for too damn long. Also, if you change out the compustar brain to say a version 3 it's fine...what the hell?

One of the other installers called the Compustar tech line and actually asked if they have heard of this issue with the new version. Our installer actually then told the tech support guy that we were installing the compustar, then taking it out and putting DEI in because the customer didn't like the way it hung on to the starter. They said no they haven't heard of this.

We're still being shipped last year's versions ( with the oval black remote controls ). Hope my bookings don't have these new systems in then cause I really liked the oval remote systems ( they were bullet proof IMO ).

Lucky! I wish we were still getting the old versions. I totally agree with you how well the oval remote systems work. I think I might call them myself and ask what they are doing differently in this version opposed to the old version, and why they can't just use the old version but send the new remotes with them. What a pain I tells ya.
