Hello people, I am new here and fairly new to installing car audio systems.  Looks like a great site you have here!!!

I have a question, can someone tell me where I can find a wiring diagram of the stock stero system for a 1997 Camaro SS?  I was going to replace the stok front speakers, but when I removed them they were 2 ohm coaxila speakers with 4 wires to each speaker.  Never seen this beofre and I don't want to screw something up.  ANy help would be appreciated, thanks!!!!

If its a monsoon system there are no diagrams available. you may be able to get one from  a dealership. installing an aftermarket with an OEM-1 from PAC you can use aftermarket speakers by bypassing the factory AMP

Hmm, sounds like it could be a speaker system with an external crossover, like in a Bose or Monsoon system.  In any case, HERE's the HU wiring diagram, although I recommend you use a Metra or Scosche wiring harness adapter.

If you can get me the VIN and the RPO codes for the vehicle I can get you any/all the GM wiring diagrams you need.  I've got a direct connection to GM dealerworld and have access to all GM service and wiring information.

Let me know.

Hey thanks for the replies!!!  I appreciate it very much!  I do not have a Monsoon or a Bose system, this is what threw my off when I saw that there were a total of 4 wires to each front speaker???  The rear speakers were 4 ohm spaekers with the noraml positive and negative wires.

@ice8168;  I will take you up on your offer in a PM, thanks man, I really appreciate that a lot!!!
