I wanted to know if i got one of those 120v AC to 12v DC converter that they use inside a house to connect a cigareete lighter adapter and find the wire that provides the + and - to goes to the cigarette light and connect a 7" LCD will work. I think it should because it's providing the cigarette lighter with 12v so it should also provide the LCD with the 12v that it needs.

Sure, all you need is a 12V brick adapter that plugs into the wall. Make sure you get one that has sufficient current rating to supply your screen.
