What I want to do: I want to put Electroluminecent Tape under the door handles of my 99 Isuzu Rodeo

What I want to accomplish: I want to have the EL Tape turn on when I push the unlock button on my alarm and stay on until I open the door or for a period of time incase of accidental button push or until I relock the doors...

Alarm I have installed: JTI; JT300R

I found THIS THREAD and was wondering if this setup would work with my application? OR can I buy a module to replicate the RAP system in Fords vehicles and make it work for this application....OR if there is already something that will make this work let me know...

I am using my vehicle as a test dummy for this...If we can make it work for a cheap cost we are gonna offer it as a Bell & Whistle option for peoples alarms...

Any input is appreciated...

Just use the JTI's domelight supervision output to control the EL tape; it does just what you describe.
If the the alarm install is complete, and the car's domelight already comes on when you unlock, just use the car's domelight wiring to power up the tape.
