No relay required, rather diode isolate the lock/unlock  wires.

but wouldn't the brain of the alarm need a relay being that the current it outputs would not be enought to operate the door locks?

Hmmm....that's interesting. Jeff, I do see where directed lists the colors you show but the vehicle's schematic shows a single wire system for the doorlocks (however, I don't have the keyless entry/ security schematics). I believe that perhaps the negative pulse system is for vehicles with factory keyless entry/security (maybe). There's no definite proof of this in the bit info that I have but either that's the case or both scenarios would work. Oh, KB, you wouldn't need relays because you'll actually be activating the vehicle's doorlock relays. Also, if you will, keep an eye out for both types of doorlocking systems because the last one I did, I performed the single wire interface. If there is a negative pulse interface, it would be good to keep in mind for future installs. You can't have too many options :)

Hey Mike, that's what I thought too about the vehicle having or not having the OEM RKE/Security system.I guess KB will find out when he starts to work on the vehicle.

Well, i recently did a 99 626 and the DEI info was right on the money. White, Brn/white and Brn / YELLOW. (-) trigger, no relays required. I wired it for driver door priority, since it's such a no brainer (if your alarm is capable) The wires are located in the driver kickpanel, just above the top edge of the panel itself.

So you hooked up the unlock to both the white and BROWN / 'white wires using diodes?
