Upon closer inspection (and after removing the carpeting) it appears to be a set of two small, powered devices, but I'm not entirely sure what they are. They are seen in this picture:
it appears this plastic 'box' houses what could possibly be the amp to the 'premium' sound system? I'm just not sure. It seems the wires for the speakers in the rear deck run to this contraption. The reason I'm wondering about this is because if it's the amp, I can get rid of this contraption and it would mean more free space for a new sub enclosure.Anyone have any ideas as to what this box is? There's no lettering or anything on it as far as I can tell, so any info would be much appreciated!Oh, by the way, the system that's going into this car - an Alpine CDA-9855 head unit, two Soundstream SST5.2 (5.25") speakers for the front, two Soundstream SST5.7 (5x7/6x8") speakers in the rear doors, a Soundstream T4-10 10" sub (in a ported enclosure), a Soundstream XTA720.4 4-channel amp for the speakers, and a Soundstream PCA1000D amp for the sub. Thanks!
