Is anyone familiar with the Impulse RES-R? I currently use the commando EZ2200 starter as my basic starter and I am curious about the Impulse RES-R.  I am curious about its reliability, range, other features, etc. Any Input positive or negative is welcomed.  Thanks

This is all the information the website gives:

Stay away from these. I used to install these 2-3 years ago and I had about 40 % return rate. The range is not very good and the tech support is a joke !! You can probably get these for about $ 30.00 off eBay.

This looks like one of  "The Wall" systems that AAMP was selling but is now discontinuing because of poor range and other issues. They are cheap and you have to add alot of relays .

They still carry the keyless entry system though. I've used over 50 of them and only had a couple problems.

If you want "real" security, remote start, smart windows, and more features than I've got time to list, the product to use is Clifford. I've been a dealer for 14 years now.

Try checking out the NEW chapman/code systems F-65 unit.  All On-board relays, I mean ALL!  The additional features are the best. Some features in this system ONLY chapman has. The Tach input choices and horn output work different from anyones. + over 1000ft. of range ! Once you install one of these systems you'll never go back to anything else. Promise!

Hey guys, I just put my hands on Omega's new remote start alarm combo called the Omega MAX. This thing is really nice. For those who are familiar, it is based off of their Crime Guard 850i3 platform. Plus, you can upgrade it to 2-way pager capability. it just plugs in. Omega has a new 2- way system called the echo. the remote transceiver is pretty slick looking (much nicer than the DEI piece) and you can select the display to show a car, a truck, or a van/SUV. It has mega range too. something like 1500 feet! I'm going to be putting one on my personal vehicle to check out and demo. Definitely something to check out. Oh, and for the dealers, it's quite reasonable :)
